John Willoughby brings a distinctive blend of practical life experience and deep exploration into the nature of emotional wellbeing.
Before entering this field, John spent many years working in large-scale construction and project management, where clarity, structure, and systems thinking were essential.
During that time he also began a personal search to understand why people struggle with recurring emotional patterns, stress, and life difficulties — even when they genuinely want change.
This exploration led him to study a range of modalities including wellness coaching, kinesiology, emotional healing methods, Reiki, ThetaHealing, and the Emotion Code.
Over time, John began to see that real progress came not from isolated techniques, but from understanding how emotional patterns operate as part of a larger system.
That insight eventually developed into the structured framework now known as Reset Your Life — a practical method designed to identify and release the emotional patterns that quietly shape our lives.

Human experience leaves patterns within us. Over time we accumulate emotional responses, belief structures, and internal programs that influence how we think, react, and move through life. Some of these patterns support us, while others may quietly hold us back long after the circumstances that created them have passed.
Many approaches try to address these issues through mindset changes or surface-level solutions. While helpful at times, the deeper patterns that drive behaviour and reactions often remain in place.
Reset Your Life approaches this differently. Instead of working only with conscious thoughts, the process identifies and releases the underlying patterns held within the system — allowing space for greater clarity, balance, and forward movement.

While the idea of releasing emotional patterns may sound simple, the reality of human experience is more complex.
Many of the patterns that influence our lives formed gradually over years through everyday experiences, challenges, and relationships. Because of this, they often operate quietly in the background — influencing reactions, decisions, and behaviour without us fully realising it.
We often liken this accumulation to a cluttered cupboard in need of a thorough clear-out and reorganisation to restore order to our lives and emotions. Alternatively, some may relate better to the computing concept of 'defragmentation,' or the reordering of our internal 'hard drive.' In architectural terms, this process resembles creating 'negative space'—the essential removal of clutter to allow significant features to shine.
Regardless of the analogy, we can't simply discard our past and start anew; purchasing a new 'cupboard' or 'hard drive' is not an option. Instead, we must refurbish and reinvest in what we already have—the latest and greatest model available to us.
It’s also important to recognise that the depth of our emotional baggage and subconscious programming goes far beyond simple analogies. Their influence on our emotional and physical wellbeing can be profound and is often best understood through guided support.
The Reset Your Life process works with three key areas:
1. Emotional Imprints
Experiences throughout life can leave emotional energies stored within the body and nervous system. These may influence reactions, stress responses, and behavioural patterns.
2. Belief Systems
Over time we develop belief structures about ourselves and the world around us. Some of these support us, while others can quietly limit our progress.
3. Internal Alignment
When emotional patterns and belief systems shift, our internal sense of direction and clarity can change as well — allowing more natural movement forward in life.

The Reset Your Life process works through a structured framework designed to identify and release emotional patterns that influence how we think, feel, and respond to life.
During a session, we use a guided questioning process together with muscle testing to identify the emotional patterns currently influencing your system. This allows us to work directly with the subconscious level where many of these patterns are held.
Once identified, these patterns can be released through a gentle and focused process that does not require revisiting difficult memories or reliving past experiences.
Because the work follows a structured framework, sessions progress step-by-step, addressing the patterns that are ready to be released and allowing the system to gradually return to a more balanced and responsive state.

Beliefs and internal programs play a powerful role in shaping how we experience life. Some beliefs support us, while others may have formed during difficult or uncertain periods and continue operating long after those circumstances have passed.
Within the Reset Your Life framework, we can identify and release beliefs or internal programs that are no longer serving you.
The first stage of this work focuses on clearing limiting or negative beliefs and programs that may be influencing behaviour, reactions, or life direction.
Once these patterns are removed, we can then focus on reinforcing beliefs that support the forward direction of your life — strengthening alignment with your values, your goals, and the future you wish to create.

Home base is now in Lake Cathie, a part of the Port Macquarie region on the NSW mid north coast.
As you will come to understand, we can work with you no matter where you are in the world. For those that are local or wish to make the journey and wish to undertake sessions in person, these are conducted here at our home office.
Having previously resided in Canberra pretty much for all of our lives and developing a taste for the warmer weather on the beautiful South Coast of NSW, we are now blessed to be able to call the Port Macquarie region our home.
